A masterpiece of animation 6 years in the making.  With brilliant characters, dramatic storytelling, and a beautifully heartbreaking ending, Giant Robo is without a doubt, one of the finest anime series ever made.  You are not a true anime fan until you have seen this.  (You can skip the Ginrei special, though.)
